PROMANCO is searching for a groundskeeping professional with an interest in farming to join our team. You will have the opportunity to join a team of like-minded individuals who take great pride in property maintenance and animal husbandry on a sizeable beef cattle farm.

The Farm Groundskeeper plays a crucial role in maintaining all of the outdoor areas of the farm property. This position involves mowing, weed-eating, landscaping, and related general maintenance tasks to ensure that the properties are attractive, functional and well-maintained. The Farm Groundskeeper works closely with the rest of the farm team to enhance the overall appearance and functionality of the property and to assist, when necessary, with cow herd health and management.

Key Responsibilities:

Grounds Maintenance:

• Mowing and trimming all grassy to maintain a neat and tidy appearance.
• Pruning trees, shrubs, and hedges to promote healthy growth and enhance the aesthetic appeal of the property.
• Performing routine maintenance tasks such as cleaning walkways, driveways, and outdoor storage areas

Equipment Operation:

• Operating and maintaining farm equipment and machinery such as tractors, mowers, and utility vehicles in a safe and efficient manner.
• Performing routine maintenance tasks on equipment, including greasing and checking fluid levels to ensure proper functioning.
• Following all safety protocols and guidelines when operating equipment to prevent accidents and injuries.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in groundskeeping, landscaping or farm maintenance is preferred.
• Experience working with cattle and other livestock is highly desirable.
• Basic knowledge of animal husbandry practices and principles.
• Ability to operate farm equipment and machinery safely and effectively.

Working Conditions: This position involves outdoor work in various weather conditions, including exposure to heat, cold, rain, and sun. It also requires physical tasks such as lifting, bending, and operating machinery. Proper safety precautions must be followed at all times to minimize risks associated with landscaping and farm work.
