Real estate staff accountant

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Process cash receipts
• Bank reconciliations
• General ledger review and maintenance
• Monthly property expense allocations
• Perform month end closing activities
• Produce accurate and timely financials for all properties
• Maintain clean supporting documentation for all reconciling items with follow-up and corrective action to resolve discrepancies
• Replacement reserve requests
• Management fee calculation per property management agreement
• Assist in preparing property compliance
• Assist in the annual operating budget process and forecasting activities
• Perform other miscellaneous duties as required by the Director of Property Accounting

• Bachelor's or associate degree in business or a related field.
• Proficient in Yardi or similar property management account software
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
• Self-motivated individual with ability to work independently
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Enthusiasm and desire to join a team dedicated to positively transforming our urban communities
