Multi‑Axis CNC Machinist — Mill & Lathe (Second Shift)

Picture your evening starting in a clean, well‑lit manufacturing floor. You review the day’s queue, load material, and bring a 3–4 axis VMC to life. A blueprint with GD&T calls out tight positional tolerances—no problem. You verify your offsets, run the first article, and use approved gages to confirm every critical feature. Later, you pivot to a 2–4 axis lathe, tweak a toolpath, and perform in‑process checks before a light deburr and final inspection. Reliability and dependability are your trademarks, and you follow both written travelers and verbal direction without missing a beat.

What You’ll Do

• Set up and operate CNC mills (3–4 axis VMC) and CNC lathes (2–4 axis) to produce precision components.
• Read and interpret blueprints with GD&T to ensure compliance to specifications.
• Follow written procedures and verbal work instructions accurately and consistently.
• Perform in‑process inspection using approved gages and tools; complete finishing operations such as deburring.
• Operate related shop equipment and hand tools; lift up to 50 lbs as needed.

What Makes You a Great Fit

• 5+ years of hands‑on experience as a machinist.
• Proficiency with either CNC milling or CNC turning (both is a plus).
• Comfortable with GD&T, blueprint interpretation, and in‑process inspection.
• Proven reliability, strong attention to detail, and commitment to quality.

Schedule & Work Environment

• Second shift, evening hours; standard 8‑hour shifts, Monday–Friday.
• Forty‑hour work week with opportunities for overtime.
• Full‑time position in a clean, well‑lit manufacturing environment.

Machines & Technologies

• CNC Mill (3–4 axis VMC): Bridgeport, Okuma, DMG Mori Seiki
• CNC Lathe (2–4 axis): Okuma, DMG Mori Seiki
