**Position: General Warehouse (Shipping and Receiving)**
**Shift: B Shift M-F 8:15 AM -5 PM.**
**Rate: $18 per hour.**
**General Warehouse**
**Job Overview:** As a General Warehouse Employee, you will be an integral part of the warehouse team, contributing to the overall efficiency and smooth operation of the facility. This role involves a variety of tasks, including receiving and processing shipments, picking and packing orders, maintaining inventory, and ensuring a clean and organized warehouse environment.
**Reports to:** Warehouse Lead
**Key Responsibilities:**
**Receiving and Unloading:**
1. Receive incoming shipments and verify the accuracy of the received goods.
2. Unload trucks and containers, checking for damages and reporting discrepancies.
**Order Picking and Packing:**
1. Pick and pack orders accurately and efficiently based on customer requirements.
2. Ensure that items are correctly labeled, and orders are prepared for shipment.
**Inventory Management:**
1. Assist in counting and recording inventory levels.
2. Conduct regular stock checks and report any discrepancies.
**Quality Control:**
1. Inspect products for defects or damages during the receiving and packing processes.
2. Report any issues to supervisors and work with the team to address quality concerns.
**Loading and Shipping:**
1. Load products onto trucks and containers for outbound shipments.
2. Ensure proper documentation and labeling for outgoing shipments.
**Warehouse Organization:**
1. Organize and arrange products within the warehouse to maximize space utilization.
2. Keep aisles and work areas clean and free of obstacles.
**Equipment Operation:**
1. Operate warehouse equipment, such as hand trucks, pallet jacks, and possibly forklifts (if certified).
2. Report any equipment malfunctions or maintenance needs.
**Team Collaboration:**
1. Work collaboratively with other warehouse team members and departments to achieve common goals.
2. Communicate effectively with supervisors and team leads.
**Safety Compliance:**
1. Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines.
2. Report any safety hazards or incidents promptly.
**Documentation:**
1. Maintain accurate records of inventory movements, order fulfillment, and other relevant information.
2. Complete necessary paperwork for shipments and inventory management **.**
**Qualifications:**
+ High school diploma or equivalent.
+ Previous experience in a warehouse or similar environment is a plus.
+ Basic math skills for counting and recording inventory.
+ Physical fitness and the ability to lift and move heavy objects.
+ Familiarity with warehouse equipment and procedures.
+ Attention to detail and accuracy in performing tasks.
+ Dependability and punctuality.
+ Team player with strong collaboration skills.
+ Adaptability to a fast-paced and dynamic warehouse environment.
+ Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
+ Good communication skills.
