Salary Range: $70,000 to $90,000 (based on licensure and experience)

  • Job Overview

We are hiring an Assistant Clinical Director to support day-to-day clinical operations, provide leadership to the treatment team, and help ensure compliance with treatment and regulatory standards. This role is ideal for an experienced counselor or supervisor looking to advance into a senior leadership position.

  • This position is designed as a pathway to become the future Outpatient Clinical Director at Woodhaven as part of our leadership development pipeline.
  • Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Support

Assist the Clinical Director with oversight of counseling, case management, and supervisory staff.

Support onboarding, training, and day-to-day clinical coordination.

Step in to provide clinical supervision, as needed.

Program Oversight

Help monitor and improve treatment services and workflows.

Ensure timely documentation, compliance with policies, and adherence to Medicaid, OHMHAS, and CARF standards.

Support implementation of evidence-based programming across levels of care.

Compliance & Documentation

Review charts and clinical records for accuracy and completeness.

Participate in internal audits, corrective action planning, and peer reviews.

Staff Development

Provide guidance and mentorship to clinical team members.

Participate in training initiatives, staff check-ins, and performance feedback.

Collaboration & Communication

Act as a liaison between departments to ensure smooth communication and continuity of care.

Assist with community outreach, referral relationships, and program visibility.

  • Required Qualifications

Education

Master’s degree in a behavioral health, counseling, or human services-related field (required)

Experience

3+ years of experience in addiction treatment, counseling, or clinical leadership

Experience supervising or mentoring clinical teams preferred

Licensure/Certification

Active Ohio license: LPCC, LISW, LICDC, or equivalent (required)

CPR certification (required before start; company-sponsored if needed)

Strong leadership, problem-solving, and time management

Working knowledge of EHR systems and clinical compliance standards

Ability to motivate teams and navigate complex situations with empathy and professionalism
