Product Designer

Position Overview We are seeking two fully-remote freelance Industrial Product Designers to support design initiatives across multiple of our furniture clients business segments. These roles will focus on creating innovative, trend-driven designs for furniture and home decor products, ensuring alignment with seasonal concepts and business objectives.

The clients is looking to get someone started mid-February for their busy season of mid-February through end of May. During the busy season, hours will be around 20 hours a week but may fluctuate and then if it is a good partnership they would like to continue working together on an as needed basis.

Key Responsibilities

• Research and interpret seasonal and global trends, themes, and styling to inform product development.
• Design SKU-level products from initial concept through final sample approval, ensuring alignment with line plans,
• assortment strategies, and cost targets.
• Create and execute CAD and 3D drawings using Rhino, managing the full design and product development lifecycle.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with design leadership, merchandising, sourcing teams, and external vendors.
• Maintain adherence to project timelines and master calendar deadlines across multiple initiatives.
• Participate in occasional travel for trend inspiration, market research, and vendor collaboration.

Qualifications

• BFA or MA in Industrial Design, Furniture Design, or a related field.
• 3+ years of professional experience in furniture, lighting, or home decor design.
• Strong proficiency in Rhino and other 3D design tools, with advanced CAD capabilities.
• Upholstery design experience is a plus.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
