HOURLY PLUS COMMISSIONS! The Residential HVAC Service Technician is responsible for expert service, repair, maintenance, and installation of residential heating and cooling systems. This role requires high technical proficiency, exceptional diagnostic skills, strong customer satisfaction focus, and adherence to all safety and quality standards. On-the-job training provided!
Essential Duties:
Diagnose & Repair: Troubleshoot and fix residential HVAC systems (AC, furnaces, heat pumps, boilers, mini-splits, etc.).
Maintenance: Perform scheduled preventative maintenance.
Installation Support: Assist with new system installations per codes and specs.
Customer Service: Clearly communicate problems, solutions, and costs to homeowners. Maintain a professional demeanor.
Safety & Compliance: Adhere to all safety, OSHA, and local codes; safely manage refrigerants (EPA).
Documentation: Complete all paperwork accurately, including work orders and inventory tracking.
Inventory: Manage truck stock, tools, and equipment.
On-Call: Participate in after-hours and weekend emergency service rotation.
Required Qualifications:
Education: High school diploma/GED. HVAC vocational certificate preferred but not required.
License: Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
Knowledge: Intermediate electrical/mechanical/safety knowledge

Superior diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
Excellent verbal/written communication (explaining technical issues clearly).
Strong customer focus and relationship-building skills.
Highly organized, self-motivated, and capable of independent work.
- Physical ability to lift heavy objects (up to [Insert Weight, e.g., 50] lbs), climb, and work in varied environments (attics, outdoors, etc.).
