Director, Kyndryl Consult Partner- Agentic Application Management- Remote US
Who We Are
At Kyndryl, we design, build, manage and modernize the mission‑critical technology systems that the world depends on every day. We are always moving forward, pushing ourselves to build a more equitable, inclusive world for our employees, customers and communities.
The Role
Kyndryl Consult is the fastest‑growing business within the organization and instrumental to the company's strategic growth objectives. We are expanding every day to meet more clients and help solve their most challenging technology problems. Many of these challenges center on reliable and affordable maintenance of existing applications and on harnessing the transformative potential of agentic AI to fundamentally change how that work gets done.
As the paradigm shifts with AI, companies need to free their business resources to focus on creating the future – not maintaining the past. They expect managed providers to deploy intelligent, autonomous agents that proactively monitor, triage, remediate and optimize application estates with minimal human intervention. They also look to trusted advisors who can guide them through this agentic transformation safely and at scale.
We are expanding our capability to support these clients and need leaders on the team. As a Consult Partner, you will play a key leadership role – working with targeted clients to identify application support opportunities, guiding them through complex consulting engagements, and positioning strategic, AI‑driven change agendas within Kyndryl's largest accounts across the C‑suite.
A core differentiator of this role is your ability to articulate, architect and sell the value of agentic AI within application management systems. You will help clients understand and adopt a new operational model where autonomous AI agents act as always‑on members of the support team – reasoning over system telemetry, executing multi‑step remediation workflows and escalating only the decisions that require human judgment.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive significant financial outcomes through signings and revenue targets, with a focus on AI‑led application management deals that command premium positioning.
- Support the identification, pursuit and conversion of a pipeline of business development opportunities centered on AI‑native AMS offerings.
- Undertake scoping, service level and fee negotiation on engagements, containing risk while ensuring the commercial viability of autonomous AI delivery models.
- Build and maintain deep relationships with client CXOs, positioning yourself as the trusted advisor for AI‑driven application management and autonomous operations strategy.
- Translate complex application portfolios into differentiated, AI‑enabled managed services that drive measurable cost, performance and innovation gains.
- Lead C‑level interactions and consulting initiatives that address the shift from traditional AMS to agentic, AI‑orchestrated application support models.
- Demonstrate credibility and hands‑on experience advising on complex engagements – from agentic proof‑of‑concepts to full‑scale autonomous operations transformations.
- Enhance client satisfaction, as measured by Net Promoter Score (NPS) and new relationship development; support the identification of client references for agentic AI delivery.
- Run executive workshops and AI readiness assessments to help clients understand their current automation maturity and map a path to agentic operations.
- Shape and close deals that transform traditional AMS run services into AI‑driven, outcome‑based operations.
- Partner with clients to define modernization‑led AMS strategies – leveraging automation, policy as code, and agentic workflows to reduce run effort, improve reliability and accelerate business outcomes.
- Ensure smooth handover from sales to transition and delivery teams and engage with Client and Delivery Partners to provide subject‑matter expertise for challenges and new opportunities.
- Lead by example – fostering a culture of continuous personal and professional development, intellectual curiosity and innovation, particularly around emerging and differentiating agentic AI capabilities.
- Challenge teams to experiment with and adopt new agentic tooling, frameworks, and methodologies, while ensuring all outcomes remain commercially focused and effectively executed.
- Develop the next generation of AI‑fluent consultants and delivery leaders within the Application Services practice.
- Utilize deep industry and technology expertise – including agentic AI, LLM‑based automation and AIOps – to shape and drive Kyndryl's strategic application management initiatives.
- Align with Kyndryl's strategic vision and contribute to its execution, including the development of AI‑powered AMS offerings, go‑to‑market plays and alliance partnerships with AI platform providers.
- Drive external eminence and innovation – publishing thought leadership, speaking at industry events and establishing a strong personal and organizational brand in the agentic AI and application management space.
- Proactively develop intellectual capital: reusable collateral, frameworks and ROI models for agentic application management that can be deployed across the practice.
Who You Are
You’re good at what you do and possess the required experience to prove it. Equally important – you have a growth mindset, are customer‑focused and open and borderless, naturally inclusive in how you work with others.
Qualifications & Experience
- 10+ years of consulting or managed services leadership experience, with a strong track record of C‑suite client engagement and large deal origination.
- Demonstrable expertise in Application Management Services (AMS), application modernization or IT operations transformation.
- Articulates a fresh, differentiated point of view on agentic AMS, challenging legacy models by reframing AMS as a lever for transformation and growth.
- Working knowledge of agentic AI frameworks, AIOps platforms or intelligent automation technologies and their application to application support and operations.
- Experience designing, selling and delivering outcome‑based managed services contracts, including automation‑driven margin models.
- Proven ability to build and grow client relationships at the CXO level across complex, multi‑stakeholder environments.
