Position: OTR Truck Driver
Truck: 2021 Freightliner Cascade
Location: Based out of Cleveland, OH (Midwest, Northeast, and Southeastern Routes)
Employment Type: Full-Time - Hourly Pay + OT About Waz Express
Waz Express is a Cleveland-based trucking and logistics company providing reliable freight solutions nationwide. We specialize in OTR, Full Truckload (FTL), Less-Than-Truckload (LTL), and Air Freight support. At Waz Express, we pride ourselves on safety, professionalism, and keeping freight, and drivers moving forward. Responsibilities
- Safely operate a 53 tractor-trailer on long-haul and regional routes.
- OTR consistently Monday to Saturday
- Need to be open to resetting on the road (this will be extremely rare) and out for 14 days.
- Deliver freight on time and in excellent condition while following customer requirements.
- Complete pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections of truck and equipment.
- Maintain accurate driver logs, inspection reports, and delivery documentation.
- Follow all DOT regulations, HOS (Hours of Service) rules, and company safety policies.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers for delivery updates.
- Represent Waz Express in a professional and courteous manner at all times.
- Valid CDL Class A license.
- Minimum 1 year of verifiable OTR driving experience preferred (recent CDL graduates considered).
- Clean driving record and ability to pass DOT physical and drug/alcohol screenings.
- Knowledge of DOT regulations and ELD (Electronic Logging Device) compliance.
- Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and adapt to changing routes/schedules.
