Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and innovative Machine Design Engineer to join our team, specializing in designing and manufacturing industrial automated equipment. This position offers the opportunity to work on exciting and varied projects, enhancing your design skills and growing into a Subject Matter Expert.

Responsibilities

• Utilize Solidworks to create 3D models and renderings for automated equipment or processes.

• Design safe and cost-effective machine concepts, parts models, and assemblies based on customer requirements.

• Detail parts and assemblies, ensuring tolerance in drawings, and release them for manufacturing.

• Research and procure components needed for machine design, including pneumatic cylinders, valves, air prep systems, bearings, motors, drive systems, sensors, and other devices.

• Document bills of material and create fabrication drawings.

Essential Skills

• Proficiency in Solidworks.

• 2+ years of machine design experience.

• Experience in industrial automation.

• Hands-on experience with tooling, machining, or fabrication.

• Experience designing automated equipment.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Associates or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.

• Experience with Autodesk Inventor and AutoCAD.

• Project management skills.

• Jig, fixture, and tooling design experience.

Work Environment

This role is based in an office environment with occasional interactions on the shop floor. The team is small and close-knit, providing a supportive atmosphere where employees can work on a variety of new and exciting projects each week, enhancing their skills and expertise in design

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Lewis Center, OH.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $48.00/hr.
