**Job Title: Machine Operator** **Job Description** Join our dynamic team as a Machine Operator where you will play a crucial role in the production of glass preform rods. Your daily tasks will involve drawing fibers using a combination of gravity and heat, and potentially applying coatings. This position is perfect for those who are comfortable working at heights in a specialized cage lift environment. Our commitment to promoting from within provides a clear path for career advancement. **Work Environment** Our facility operates on a Monday to Friday schedule with three shifts available: 1st shift from 7:00am to 3:00pm, 2nd shift from 3:00pm to 11:00pm, and 3rd shift from 11:00pm to 7:00am. Overtime is occasionally available on a voluntary basis. The production floor is clean, quiet, well-lit, and organized, requiring steel-toed boots and safety glasses. You will work in a small team of five, alongside a team lead during each shift. **Job Type & Location** This is a Permanent position based out of Avon, CT. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $45760.00 - $55910.00/yr.
