Children Services Ongoing Supervisor

We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Children Services Ongoing Supervisor to lead and oversee ongoing child welfare services within our organization. This role is vital in ensuring the safety, well-being, and stability of children and families through effective supervision, case management, and team leadership. As a Children Services Ongoing Supervisor, you will coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, manage complex cases, and foster a supportive environment for both staff and clients. Duties
- Supervise and support a team of child welfare caseworkers to ensure delivery of high-quality ongoing services to children and families.
- Oversee case planning, documentation, and compliance with child welfare regulations and policies.
- Conduct regular case reviews to monitor progress, identify risks, and implement intervention strategies.
- Utilize motivational interviewing techniques to engage families effectively and promote positive behavioral change.
- Manage crisis situations through crisis intervention strategies, ensuring immediate safety for children and staff.
- Collaborate with social workers, healthcare providers, legal professionals, and community resources to coordinate comprehensive care plans.
- Provide training and mentorship to staff on conflict management, behavioral health issues, and working with individuals with disabilities.
- Ensure adherence to child protective services protocols while maintaining a trauma-informed approach in all interactions.
- Promote a positive team environment by fostering open communication, conflict resolution, and professional development.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field
- Two years experience as a Children Services worker
- Strong knowledge of child protective services policies, family law, and behavioral health principles.
- Skilled in crisis management techniques and crisis intervention strategies.
- Expertise in motivational interviewing and conflict management to facilitate family engagement.
- Experience working with children with disabilities or behavioral health challenges is highly desirable.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams and manage complex cases effectively.
- Exceptional communication skills for collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and engaging families in service planning.
