Senior Manufacturing Operations Consultant

Fully onsite role based in Dayton Ohio

TRCTalent is partnering with a rapidly growing manufacturer located in Ohio as they seek a highly experienced Manufacturing Operations Consultant to partner with executive leadership in driving operational excellence across growing manufacturing facilities. This individual will serve as a trusted advisor, bringing decades of manufacturing, operations, and leadership experience to identify opportunities, solve complex operational challenges, and implement best practices that improve performance, productivity, and profitability.

Responsibilities

Partner with executive and plant leadership to assess manufacturing operations and recommend strategic improvements.

Evaluate production processes, workflows, labor utilization, and operational efficiency.

Lead continuous improvement initiatives utilizing Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and operational excellence methodologies.

Mentor and coach plant managers and operations leaders to strengthen leadership capabilities.

Identify opportunities to improve safety, quality, delivery, and cost performance.

Assist with capacity planning, process optimization, and organizational development.

Develop and implement operational strategies that support long-term business objectives.

Analyze KPIs and operational data to drive informed business decisions.

Facilitate change management initiatives and ensure successful execution across multiple teams.

Serve as a resource for troubleshooting complex manufacturing and operational challenges.

Qualifications

20+ years of progressive manufacturing and operations leadership experience.

Proven success leading manufacturing facilities, plant operations, or multi-site operations.

Strong background in Lean Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement, Six Sigma, or Operational Excellence.

Experience coaching executives, plant managers, and leadership teams.

Demonstrated ability to improve productivity, reduce costs, and optimize manufacturing performance.

Excellent communication, facilitation, and leadership skills.

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, Business, or a related field preferred.

Lean Six Sigma certification is a plus.
