RECEPTIONIST – FRONT DESK

DEPARTMENT: Community Life

SALARY: $15.00 per hour (up to 29 hrs. weekly)

STATUS: Part-Time

REPORTS TO: Director, Community Life

GENERAL PURPOSE :

Provides exceptional customer service, manages front desk activities, including the Sportsman Web Recreation Software system, and performs various administrative tasks to ensure smooth and efficient operations while providing a professional and welcoming demeanor.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Answers the telephone; takes messages; handles inquiries or routes calls to the proper person.

· Greets visitors to the Community Center, handle inquiries, and provides information. Issues memberships and photo I.D. cards; collects fees; maintains records of memberships, equipment, and locks signed out.

· Assists with Department mailings of informational materials about programs and activities. Prepare and maintain records and reports as required.

· Assists in enforcement of Community Center rules and regulations.

· Performs related duties as required.

DESIRED MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Education and Experience:

· High school graduate or equivalent.

· Skilled in word processing.

· Ability to effectively work and communicate with the general public.

· Previous administrative experience preferred.

· Ability to utilize Microsoft Office Suite, Microsoft Outlook, and all software related to the Bedford Heights Community Center.

· Ability to adapt to changing schedules or routines.

· Maintain employee morale.
