Travel RN Job Details – Columbus, OH

• Location: Columbus, OH 43210 (Ohio nursing jobs)
• Healthcare Setting: Stroke/Neuro Progressive Care Unit (PCU), with med-surg and neurological patient care
• Assignment Type: Travel RN contract (locum tenens)
• Start Date: October 20, 2025
• End Date: January 19, 2026
• Duration: 13-week nursing contract
• Shift: Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts/week (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM), rotating weekdays, weekends, and holidays
• Hours per Week: 36
• Patient Ratio: 1:4
• Floating: Required to float to other hospital units as needed
• Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $1,940 - $1,990

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of recent PCU or Med-Surg RN experience (required for travel nursing jobs)
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license – compact or Ohio state RN license (required)
• Graduate of an ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program
• BLS certification (required)
• EPIC charting experience (required for healthcare jobs)
• NIHSS and ACLS certifications (preferred)
• Experience in neuro stepdown, cardiac telemetry, and post-neurosurgery care strongly preferred
• Skills in IV starts, central/PICC line management, cardiac drip titration, and wound care
• Ability to complete Ohio fingerprinting promptly upon contract signing
• Flu vaccine required (medical exemptions only)
• Two professional references required (one from a nurse manager, director, or supervisor)

Travel RN Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality nursing care to adult patients in a busy stroke and neuro PCU (Progressive Care Unit)
• Monitor and manage patients with neurological diagnoses: stroke, craniotomy, traumatic brain injury
• Administer medications (including TNK), manage lumbar drains, and operate specialized neuro equipment
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams: physical therapy, respiratory, pharmacy, social services
• Float to other hospital units as needed to support patient care
• Maintain accurate documentation using EPIC electronic health records
• Work rotating night shifts, including weekends and holidays
• Ensure compliance with all credentialing and regulatory requirements, including timely fingerprinting
