  • Works with Research Office and partnering DEW offices to define problems and opportunities that require new analysis, research, or evaluation;

  • Collects data and information from publicly available sources;
  • Assesses the quality and utility of available data and research;
  • Develops tools and protocols for quantitative analysis;
  • Analyzes data with statistical software (e.g., SAS, SPSS, R);
  • Creates data visualizations and summaries (e.g., Excel, Tableau, PowerBI, ArcGIS); and
  • Assists in writing and editing reports and preparing presentations.


Minimum Qualifications

  • Current enrollment in baccalaureate or graduate degree program.


Desired Qualities

  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint


Basic knowledge of a statistical program such as SAS, SPSS, STATA, or R

  • Minimal experience with quantitative research methods
  • Capable of working independently and in a team-setting
  • Self-motivated
  • Ability to write succinctly and clearly
  • Flexible and adaptable to fluctuating circumstances
  • Interested in education policy and research
  • Experience working in a professional environment
