Position Summary:

Under the direction of the Plant Manager, the Maintenance Manager has the mechanical and technical knowledge to oversee all maintenance operations to ensure all machines achieve operational efficiency. This individual will direct and oversee all daily maintenance activities including delegation of tasks, team efficiencies, tracking of mechanical performance and directing any necessary repairs.

Job Responsibilities:

• Oversee, manage and direct all mechanical and facility maintenance procedures and operations
• Possess expert knowledge of pneumatics, electrical, hydraulic, and thermal dynamics.
• Assess current maintenance processes and ensures all machinery is up to working standards to optimize efficiency.
• Oversee and/or ensures general and preventative maintenance on all plumbing, electrical, and heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC)systems.
• Coordinates repairs and/or installs electrical lines on production equipment, machinery, systems and/or physical facility. Must Our possess knowledge and ability to guide/mentor others to do so.
• Create and implement measures to minimize breakdowns and repairs (performing quality checks of all machinery, tools, equipment, etc).
• Troubleshoot problem areas and create a clear plan of action for fixing necessary parts.
• Trains/mentors Assistant Manager and new employees in maintenance work processes and procedures
• Creates a work culture with safety as a high priority.
• Record and track daily progress/error reports
• Maintain vendor relationships and order new materials as needed
• Communicate daily with Plant Manager, Plant Engineer and other supporting staff regarding status of machine repairs.
• Maintains accurate parts inventory and proactively communicates needs to upper leadership.
• Enforce all health and safety rules and regulations according to state/federal laws and company protocol.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:

• Minimum of 10 years proven manufacturing industrial MAINTENANCE MANAGEMENT experience
• Minimum of 8 years proven electric maintenance experience
• Plastic Injection Molding experience preferred.
• Trade School Certification, High School Degree, or equivalent are preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

The Maintenance Manager must have the following abilities:

• Working knowledge of Microsoft suite products.
• Stand, bend, stretch for hours at a time and lift up to 100 lbs.
• Read and comprehend written instructions and ensure instructions are met and achieved upon review of completed product.
• Capability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics
• Ability to be able to visually inspect finished products; view stress fractures, bubbles, color accuracy and other quality metrics to ensure production and client metrics are met.
• Ability to communicate in professional tone and manner in both verbal and written means.
• Ability to teach and mentor and assume leadership responsibilities.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced demanding environment in a collaborative team setting.
• Ability to multi-task with a high sense of urgency

The Maintenance Manager must be able to:

• Accept/handle emergency phone calls in off hours
• Work on dayshift or other shifts based on business need.
• Work nights and/or weekends on call as business dictates.
