Junior Fullstack Engineer

Job Description

A financial company in the Cincinnati, OH area is seeking a Junior Fullstack Engineer to be onsite at their Madisonville office. This will be a contract role through the end of the year with the anticipation that this role will either convert full-time or extend at the end.

This person will be joining a team to support modernization efforts of one of capital markets largest applications. The role will be true full stack (60-70% front-end and 30-40% backend) role - and the individual should be impartial to back or front end/ flexible to hop into either end as the team needs change.

Other responsibilities will include:

• Full lifecycle application development

• Designing, coding and debugging applications in various software languages.

• Software analysis, code analysis, requirements analysis, software review, identification of code metrics, system risk analysis, software reliability analysis

• Backend: Java and Springboot experience

• Frontend: Angular/React/Vue + JS/Typescript

• Support, maintain and document software functionality

• Integrate software with existing systems

• Evaluate and identify new technologies for implementation

• Maintain standards compliance

• Implement localization or globalization of software

• Undergraduate degree in computer engineering, computer science, information technology or a related discipline.

Skills and Requirements

• 1-2+ years of experience full stack core Java development & spring boot frameworks

• Frontend development in React OR Angular (both +) - Banking/Finance (Capital Markets ++) industry experience

• DB2

• Strong SQL

• AWS deployment using Docker/Kubernetes

• Activiti

• Kafka
