Behavioral Health Clinic Therapist Job Details

• Location: Columbus, OH 43219 – Explore Ohio's capital, known for its thriving arts scene, beautiful parks, and excellent dining options.
• Employment Type: Travel Behavioral Health Therapist
• Healthcare Setting: Behavioral Health Clinic
• Shift: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (8-hour days)
• Hours per Week: 40
• Assignment Duration: 13 weeks (October 6, 2025 – January 5, 2026)
• Unit: Behavioral Health Division (24 beds, adult patient population)
• Patient Ratio: 1:12
• Dress Code: Business casual (no shorts or sandals)

Clinic Therapist Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of clinical experience in behavioral health therapy or mental health counseling
• Active Ohio state license: LSW, LPC, or higher (Licensed Social Worker, Licensed Professional Counselor)
• Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or related field
• Current CPR certification
• HWC (Health and Wellness Coach) certification
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Experience working with adult behavioral health patient populations

Behavioral Health Therapist Responsibilities

• Deliver therapeutic interventions and support to adult patients in a behavioral health clinic setting
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to develop and implement individualized treatment plans
• Document patient progress and clinical notes using EHR systems (Pinpoint)
• Maintain a safe, supportive, and therapeutic environment for patients
• Participate in team meetings and contribute to continuous quality improvement initiatives
• Work weekend hours as needed (no on-call requirements)
