Insight Global is seeking a Mechanical Engineer for a direct hire opportunity in the Dayton, OH area. This resource will be joining an aerospace company to help execute and deliver for a variety of government customers. You'll plan and execute development of 3D TDP's with cross functional team of engineers. You'll conduct and review analyses and part production, control plans, schedules, and other data to understand future improvements. Develop design and manufacturing process strategy documentation with supporting technical analysis for improvements, including streamlining any TDP development through the creation of standardized processes. This position will require someone with CAD experience, like SolidWorks and Creo and the ability to handle multiple projects at once. Your experience will help the different engineering and manufacturing practices and producers for design work critical to the customers mission. There will be some travel involved depending on customer and program needs. You'll also be doing hand calculations (e.g., tolerance stack-ups, stress calculations) and have some knowledge of working with different materials and processes used in manufacturing (e.g., Inconel, sheet metal, aluminum, plastic injection molding, casting) someone who understand design for manufacturability. Have the ability to not only read GD&T and test specifications on a print, but have experience applying GD&T & ASME/ANSI specifications on a print.

Skills and Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in STEM (Electrical, Mechanical, Manufacturing, Material, Industrial, Aerospace)

• 3-5 years of mechanical engineering experience

• CAD experience in SolidWorks or Creo

• Experience in GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing)/ ASME/ANSI

• Experience with injection molding, sheet metal, aluminum, casting, etc

• Ability to obtain a US Secret clearance - Master's Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering

• Professional Engineering License

• LEAN, Six Sigman or other process certifications
