Job Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Fiberglass Operator to join our manufacturing team. The Fiberglass Operator is responsible for the preparation, handling, and application of fiberglass materials to produce high-quality parts and components according to specifications. This role involves working with molds, resins, and hand/power tools in a fast-paced production environment.
Key Responsibilities:Operate fiberglass fabrication equipment and tools, including rollers, brushes, cutters, and spray guns
Prepare molds and apply release agents to ensure proper fiberglass lay-up
Cut, measure, and apply fiberglass cloth or matting to molds based on blueprints or production specifications
Mix and apply resins and catalysts according to formulation guidelines
Roll out air pockets and ensure smooth surface finishes in the lamination process
Inspect finished products for defects and ensure quality standards are met
Perform trimming, sanding, and finishing work as required
Maintain a clean and organized work area, following safety and housekeeping protocols
Report any equipment malfunctions, material shortages, or safety hazards to supervisors
Follow all company safety procedures and wear proper PPE (personal protective equipment) at all times
High school diploma or equivalent
Prior experience working with fiber lasers preferred
Ability to read and interpret work instructions, blueprints, and safety guidelines
Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity
Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs
Comfortable working with chemicals, adhesives, and in a production setting
Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
Willingness to work flexible hours or shifts as needed
