Human Services Program Consultant

Are you passionate about supporting families and improving early childhood outcomes? Join our team as a Home Visiting Program Consultant and help shape programs that make a real impact in communities across Ohio. In this role, you’ll partner with local agencies, provide expert guidance, and ensure families receive the highest quality prenatal-to-five home visiting services.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead & Support: Guide local home visiting programs with technical assistance and best practices, including on-site visits.
  • Collaborate: Build strong partnerships with community organizations and state programs.
  • Drive Quality: Monitor, evaluate, and improve program performance and compliance.
  • Innovate: Work with data systems and analyze trends to strengthen services.
  • Educate: Represent the program at workshops, conferences, and community events.

What We’re Looking For

  • Background in health or human services, early childhood, or related field.
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and data analysis skills.
  • Knowledge of home visiting models and state systems is a plus.

Pay Information

Unless required by legislation or union contract, starting salary will be step 1 of the salary range associated with this position. New hires advance to the next step in the range after 6 months and annually thereafter. Based on collective bargaining and legislative activity, there may be cost of living increases awarded annually. Additional longevity supplements begin after 5 years. The current wage progression for this position is in the table below.

Completion of undergraduate core program in social or behavioral science, health or pre-medicine or comparable field; 18 mos. exp. in delivery of human services, health care services or medical assistance in governmental, community or private human support services agency or medical provider.

  • Or completion of graduate core program in social or behavioral science or medicine-related or comparable field; 6 mos. exp. in delivery of human services, health care services or medical assistance in governmental, community or private human support services agency or medical provider.
  • Or equivalent of Minimum Class Qualifications for Employment noted above.

Location Requirements:

DCY’s core hours of operation are Mon-Fri from 8:00am to 5:00pm, however, daily start/end times may vary based on operational need across DCY divisions.Employees may begin as early as 7:00am & as late as 9:00am, based on supervisory approval. This position performs work on-site daily at DCY’s office space.
