Position Title : Finite Element Analyst (Req# EMGTC2)

Responsible for the engineering and optimization of complex parts and assemblies for stress and deflection. Analyze specifications and performance requirements to develop cost-effective designs. Provide technical advice as well as assist in debugging designs and machinery. Prepare or direct the preparation of product or system layouts, detailed drawings, and schematics. Check designs and details for technical accuracy and recommends revisions or concept expansion for problem resolutions. Provide technical support for manufacturing and assembly. Develop test plans and experimental programs. Analyze test data and reports to determine if design meets functional and performance specifications. Confer with Validation, Run-off, and other engineering personnel. Prepare design modifications. Liaison with customers or vendors as required exchanging information on product or system capability. Support the FEA and simulation requirements of the department. Be the departmental FEA expert Competencies. Give technical direction to accomplish desired project objectives, typically to Designers, Detailers, or Design Engineers, and technical support to the shop in the building, manufacturing, or testing of product. Position is fixed location based in Batavia, OH office; however, telecommuting from a home office is permitted up to one (1) day per week.

Job Requirements:

Requires a Master's degree (or foreign equivalent) Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or a directly related field plus two (2) years of System analysis. Experience must include:

Two (2) years of experience in the following (experience may be gained concurrently):

• ANSYS
• Using ANSYS to generate reports for CFD and structural analysis reports.

One (1) year of experience in the following (experience may be gained concurrently):

• Finite element analysis on castings
• Windchill
• Thermal analysis, and thermal structural interactions
• Extracting risk factors.
• NUD development and providing support to analyze risk factors.
• Test engineering and providing feedback on setup to correlate failure modes on the product.
