Position Summary:
Villa Angela-St. Joseph High School is seeking a full-time Math Teacher to join our faculty. The individual will be responsible for teaching classes as assigned by the principal, implementing the curriculum in accordance with the standards set by the Diocese of Cleveland and the Ohio Department of Education. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in secondary mathematics education, experience in a diverse school environment, and the ability to integrate technology effectively while ensuring equitable assessment of all students.

Responsibilities:

• Teach Algebra, Geometry, and Pre-calculus to secondary school students.

• Maintain up-to-date lesson plans, develop rubrics, and implement the curriculum with fidelity.

• Prepare engaging lessons and units that promote critical thinking and skills development in line with course objectives.

• Work collaboratively with staff to enhance student success and improve school outcomes.

• Foster a classroom atmosphere where students feel safe, supported, and welcomed.

• Provide regular feedback on student progress and maintain open communication with parents.

• Stay current with classroom technology applications and regularly incorporate them into lesson plans.

• Actively supervise students in various school settings.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Secondary Mathematics Education or Mathematics.

• Ohio teaching license or RE license in secondary education.

• Ability to pass FBI/BCI background check.

• Experience teaching urban high school students.

• Commitment to upholding the values of the Catholic faith.

• VIRTUS certified or willing to become certified.
