Sharpcontra is seeking a results-driven Market Development Representative (MDR) to support our business growth initiatives. In this role, you will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, initiating contact with potential clients, and nurturing leads through the sales funnel. You will work closely with the sales and marketing teams to help drive Sharpcontra’s expansion into new and existing markets.

Responsibilities

• Research and identify target markets, segments, and companies aligned with our strategic focus

• Conduct outbound outreach via email, phone, and direct engagement to qualify new leads

• Schedule meetings and facilitate smooth handoffs to the sales team

• Maintain accurate records in CRM systems and generate regular reports on pipeline activity

• Collaborate with marketing to refine messaging and campaign strategies

• Monitor industry trends, competitor activity, and prospect feedback to inform tactics

• Support in the execution of lead generation strategies and pilot initiatives

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field

• 1–3 years of experience in market development, sales development, or a similar role

• Strong verbal and written communication skills

• Comfortable conducting outreach via phone and email

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively across teams

• Proficiency with CRM platforms (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot)

• Strong organizational and time management skills

• Analytical mindset with a problem-solving approach
