TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified PCU RN in Dayton, Ohio, 45409!

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 1.5 years' experience required. License: Active Registered Nurse license required. Certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIH certifications are required. Must-Have: - EPIC experience - Experience with stable chronic ventilators - Pass an online EKG tele competency assessment before starting the assignment - IV start experience preferred Description: Targeted patient ratios are 1:4, but they can be up to 1:5-6. For a 48-hour contract, overtime is paid out after 48 hours. Nurses will be fitted for an N95 mask before working in the high-risk unit unless PAPR is needed. Travel experience is preferred. The traveler will be required to float at the discretion of management. This may include assignments across various campuses, ensuring appropriate care is provided. Availability to work every other weekend and holiday is required. The organization reserves the right to cancel shifts due to low census. Cancellation of the agreement may occur with two weeks' notice without penalty. Travelers are not eligible for employee incentives. Requests for time off should be submitted with initial application; no additional requests will be accepted after an offer is made. Approval of requests for time off will be at management's discretion. Applications must include all scheduling requests and availability on the front page. No references are required. Additional patient demographics include adolescents, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics. Daily patient census is approximately 32. The unit provides various interdisciplinary support services. The patient population may require assistance with turning, moving, and ambulating. Special procedures may include managing large wounds, chest tubes, and laceration repairs. The unit typically provides care to patients with multi-system problems and requires a broad skill set. The work environment is fast-paced with significant physical demands. Special equipment used in the unit includes trach/vent systems, orthopedic braces, and other assistive devices.
