Senior Human Resources Business Partner
Talen Energy is seeking an experienced Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) to support our newly acquired power plants in Ohio and Indiana. In this key role, you will serve as the primary on-site face of HR for multiple plants. You will work closely with fellow HR partners in the Fossil Division, as well as Talen's other field and corporate HR teams, to deliver comprehensive and coordinated HR support across the organization.
This is a multi-site position supporting our eastern Midwest power plants (Ohio, western Pennsylvania, Indiana, and nearby surrounding region) with regularly occurring onsite presence.
What will you own?
Develop strong, collaborative relationships with plant teams and promote positive employee relations.
Manage employee data transactions and reporting within the HRIS system.
Support the delivery and communication of compensation, salary administration, and benefits programs at the site level.
Partnering with Talen's recruiting team, lead full-cycle recruiting for both hourly and salaried roles, ensuring an engaging, positive candidate experience.
Provide expert HR guidance and counsel to leaders and employees on a variety of HR topics and issues.
Partner effectively with cross-functional teams and divisions within Talen Energy to support business objectives.
Support and help drive performance management processes, employee training and development initiatives, and succession planning efforts.
What you have:
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
Minimum of 8 years of progressive HR experience , preferably within a field operations or industrial environment.
Professional HR certification (PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP) preferred.
Experience with change management and organization acquisitions is a plus.
Strong judgment, critical thinking, and decision-making skills.
Proven ability to build trust, manage conflict, and positively influence others.
Strong attention to detail while maintaining a strategic, big-picture mindset.
Excellent interpersonal, verbal, written, and presentation skills.
