Position Overview:

Meals of Hope Inc. is seeking a reliable, motivated, and hard-working Warehouse Associate to join our team. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about helping others and wants to be part of a mission-driven organization dedicated to fighting hunger.

The Meals of Hope Mission:

Meals of Hope is a nonprofit organization dedicated to combating hunger and food insecurity across the USA. We distribute nutritious meals to local communities through partnerships with volunteers, donors, and food distribution networks. With a mission-driven approach, Meals of Hope serves as a vital lifeline, providing essential support and nourishment to those in need.

Key Responsibilities:

· Perform general warehouse duties (100% of the time)

· Load and unload trucks, ensuring proper documentation for shipping and receiving

· Operate a forklift and electric pallet jack safely and efficiently

· Pick and pack orders accurately

· Clean and sanitize equipment after events for future use

· Maintain warehouse cleanliness, including sweeping and mopping floors

• Maintain a clean and organized work environment to promote safety and efficiency.

· Process and document incoming and outgoing inventory

· Interact professionally with staff, volunteers, vendors, and other stakeholders

• Build and prepare orders for shipment, ensuring accuracy and quality.
• Collaborate with team members to meet daily operational goals.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in a warehouse or distribution center environment is preferred.
• Familiarity with order picking processes and materials handling techniques.
• Mechanical knowledge is a plus for operating various warehouse equipment.
• Ability to operate RF scanners effectively for inventory management tasks.
• Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high-quality standards.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well in a team-oriented environment.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to sit at a desk and use a computer for documentation and other management tasks.
• Capability to stand for extended periods and lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs.) in warehouse operations.
• Comfortable working in environments with varying temperatures and conditions (wet, dry, hot, and cold)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
