Position: Civil Design Engineer

We are seeking a Civil Design Engineer to join our team. This position involves assisting in the design and preparation of plans for site development, roadway, stormwater, waterline, and sanitary sewer projects. This position offers the opportunity to work on a wide range of civil projects from concept through construction, with direct involvement in project design, permitting, and coordination.

Location: Findlay, Ohio

Responsibilities:

• Prepare engineering drawings, reports, and specifications using AutoCAD Civil 3D
• Design site layouts, grading plans, drainage systems, utility infrastructure, and erosion control plans
• Perform hydraulic and hydrologic calculations for stormwater management systems
• Prepare permit applications and coordinate with local agencies and utility providers
• Assist in cost estimating, project documentation, and construction support
• Collaborate with survey and field staff to integrate accurate site data into design plans
• Participate in client meetings and contribute to project planning discussions

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field required
• E.I.T. certification preferred; P.E. license or ability to obtain a plus
• 1–5 years of relevant experience in civil/site design preferred
• Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D required
• Working knowledge of Ohio EPA, ODOT, and local design standards desirable
• Strong technical, organizational, and communication skills
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment

Schedule:

• Full-time position (40+ hours per week)
• Typical hours: Monday - Friday, 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM
• Occasional overtime or adjusted hours may be required for field work or project deadlines
• Primarily office-based with occasional site visits throughout northwest Ohio
