Accounting Specialist LHH is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accounting Specialist to join our client’s finance team. This role supports both accounts payable and accounts receivable functions while playing a key role in the month-end close process. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and demonstrate strong organizational and communication skills. This position is temp to hire and will pay between $22 and $26.50 per hour. Responsibilities:

• Process vendor invoices, match purchase orders, and ensure timely payments.
• Monitor and reconcile incoming payments from customers.
• Maintain accurate records of financial transactions in the ERP system.
• Investigate and resolve discrepancies in billing and payment processes.
• Assist with preparing journal entries and account reconciliations for month-end close.
• Support internal and external audits by providing documentation and explanations.
• Collaborate with operations and procurement teams to ensure financial accuracy.
• Generate ageing reports and follow up on outstanding receivables.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives in financial workflows.

Qualifications:

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is preferred but not required with appropriate experience.
• 2+ years of experience in accounts payable and/or receivable, preferably in manufacturing
• Familiarity with ERP systems and Microsoft Excel
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
