Dining Room Manager
The Dining Room Manager at New Albany Country Club is responsible for overseeing the dining operations and ensuring an exceptional dining experience for club members and guests. This role requires strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and a passion for delivering outstanding customer service. Responsibilities:
- Engage our members and their guests with high hospitality and accommodation.
- Handle member inquiries and concerns promptly and effectively.
- Maintain a person that reflects the established image of a premier private Club.
- Anticipate and address member service needs, whether by delegation or personally,
- Along with the Director of Restaurants, responsible for the operational game plans of nightly service/Club events to a la carte.
- Assist fellow Dining Room Managers with hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, counseling, disciplining, motivating, and culture-building/coaching employees.
- Along with fellow dining room managers, manage and supervise the front-of-house staff.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
- Attend weekly meetings with fellow managers to review operational issues, budget, payroll, upcoming events, usage, etc.
- Serve as a liaison between the dining room and kitchen staff to ensure efficient and timely delivery of meals
- Along with fellow managers, maintain the service department's opening, closing, and operating procedures.
- Maintain member communication process to monitor and follow up on member requests and satisfaction.
- Be aware of the weekly payroll status and schedule and monitor accordingly.
- Responsible for overseeing bi-weekly service staff payroll.
- Inspect service areas for organization and cleanliness.
- All other duties as assigned.
- 3- 5 years experience in the restaurant industry of like kind with diverse wine knowledge.
- Polished and professional appearance in accordance with club standards.
- Prior experience in a supervisory role within the hospitality industry.
- Strong knowledge of dining room operations and service techniques.
- Wine knowledge.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to lead and motivate a team.
- Attention to detail and ability to handle multiple tasks under pressure.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations.
- Alcoholic beverage safety certification.
- Food safety certification.
- Working knowledge of POS System.
- Experience with Word and Excel.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Competitive annual salary of $55,000 - $60,000
