Columbus Airport Marriott is looking for a Full-Time and a Part-Time Bartender to join our growing team!
Job Summary:
The Bartender is responsible for preparing and serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, ensuring a great customer experience while maintaining a clean and organized bar area. They engage with patrons, recommend drinks, and ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations.
Essential Responsibilities and Duties:
Drink Preparation:
· Mix, garnish, and serve drinks according to recipes and customer preferences.
· Maintain knowledge of a wide variety of beverages, including cocktails, beers, wines, and spirits.
Customer Interaction:
· Greet customers, take orders, and provide recommendations based on preferences.
· Build relationships with regular patrons to create a welcoming atmosphere.
· Seat and serve our guests at both bar and tables.
Cash Handling:
· Handle payments, operate cash registers, and manage tabs accurately.
· Ensure proper recording of sales and compliance with tipping policies.
Inventory Management:
· Monitor and restock bar inventory, including liquor, mixers, and supplies.
· Conduct inventory checks and communicate stock needs to management.
Cleanliness and Safety:
· Keep the bar area clean and organized, including washing glasses and equipment.
· Follow all food and beverage safety regulations.
· Take restaurant trash out.
Team Collaboration:
· Work closely with servers and kitchen staff to ensure smooth service.
· Participate in staff meetings and training sessions.
· May occasionally assist with room service.

Requirements:Education, Experience, and Skills (Qualifications/Requirements):
• Previous experience as a bartender or in a similar role is preferred.
• Knowledge of mixology, drink recipes, and techniques.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle pressure.
• Must meet the legal age requirement to serve alcohol.
• Multitasking and time management.
• Attention to detail.
• Physical stamina to stand for long periods and lift heavy items.
• Familiarity with POS systems and basic math skills.
Physical Requirements:
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Ability to lift trays or items up to 50 pounds.
• Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination for serving and carrying trays.
