2026-2027 Intervention Specialist (K-12)
Oakstone Community School is hiring a Kâ12 Intervention Specialist for the 2026â2027 school year. We are a small public school serving students with Autism Spectrum Disorders, offering small class sizes, strong team support, and a collaborative teaching environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage IEP caseload (IEPs, progress monitoring, compliance)
- Provide individualized supports, accommodations, and behavior interventions
- Co-teach or provide direct instruction in core content areas
- Collaborate with teachers, paraprofessionals, and support staff
- Track student progress, goals, and behavior data
Qualifications
- Valid Ohio Intervention Specialist License (Mild/Moderate or Moderate/Intensive)
â Dual licensure preferred
- Experience or strong interest in working with students with disabilities
- Strong classroom management and collaboration skills
- Ability to differentiate instruction for diverse learners
Preferred Content Areas
- Science (MS/HS: Biology, Physical Science, etc.)
- Math (Grades 7â12 through Algebra II)
- English / Language Arts (MS/HS)
Requirements
- Willing to complete BCI/FBI background checks at own expense (upon hire and every 5 years)
- Must obtain and maintain CPR/First Aid/AED certification (every 2 years, at own expense)
