About the Opportunity
SeniorDent is a national leader in providing on-site mobile dental care to nursing facilities across the U.S. We're seeking a skilled and compassionate Traveling General Dentist to serve patients in the Dover/Wilmington, DE area . This role is ideal for a dentist who enjoys working with elderly patients and values flexibility in their schedule.
Position Details
- Schedule: Part-time, flexible (approximately 4 days/week)
- Setting: Nursing home and long-term care facilities (mobile dentistry)
- Travel: Required within Delaware; occasional overnight stays
- Compensation: Starting from $180,000 per year (contract)
- Mileage: Reimbursed if using your own vehicle
- Travel Reimbursement: Provided for overnight stays
- Equipment/Supplies: All provided by SeniorDent
Responsibilities
- Perform annual exams and diagnose dental conditions
- Provide general dental treatments including dentures, simple extractions, restorations, and comfort care
- Take x-rays or impressions for dentures or partials
- Maintain accurate patient records
- Deliver compassionate care in a nursing home environment
Qualifications
- Active Delaware dental license (current and in good standing)
- Professional liability insurance or eligibility under group policy
- Experience with elderly patients preferred, not required
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
- Patient-oriented, caring, and reliable
