Property Maintenance Technician

POSITION

8k Construction Company is seeking a skilled and motivated Property Maintenance Technician to join our growing team. The Property Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining the overall condition of our properties. This role involves performing routine repairs, preventive maintenance, and emergency services to ensure our tenants enjoy safe, comfortable, and well-kept spaces .

JOB DUTIES

• Perform general maintenance, including light plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry,
  and appliance repairs.
• Complete tenant and owner initiated work orders in a timely and professional manner.
• Conduct routine property inspections and perform preventative maintenance.
• Assist in apartment make-ready services including painting, cleaning, and repairs.
• Coordinate with vendors and contractors as needed.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance work performed.
• Ensure all work complies with safety standards and regulations.
• Occasionally responsible for responding to high level emergencies after-hours.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

• 2+ years of experience in property maintenance, facilities management, or a related field.
• Working knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC trades is a plus.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs. and perform physical tasks as required.
• Ability to learn and utilize AppFolio Property Management Software.
• Valid driver’s license.

COMPENSATION

In the spirit of pay transparency, we can share that the pay range for this position is $25-$35 per hour, commensurate with experience. Please keep in mind that this range is the base pay only and does not consider other components that make up the total rewards package for the position. If you are hired, your overall compensation will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, and/or experience which may result in total compensation outside of this range.
