Job Title: Project Coordinator

Job Description

The Project Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating project team activities and supporting Project Managers with project logistics. This role requires mentoring and training less experienced project coordinators, ensuring seamless project execution.

Responsibilities

• Prepare cost re-projections and budget variance explanations for project spending.

• Prepare contract requisitions and participate in the bidding process.

• Coordinate the work order process from creation through in-serving and closing.

• Coordinate project meetings, including strategy/project planning, kick-off, pre-bid, preconstruction, and status meetings.

• Communicate with project team members, TCRs, engineers, and designers on behalf of the Project Manager.

• Support Project Manager in preparing and updating PLMP documents, Communication Plan, Checklists, PRB requests, Safety Plans, and Project Completion Punchlist.

• Coordinate project logistics, including arrangements for temporary office/jobsite facilities, electricity, securing permits, and lay down yards.

• Prepare re-projections of project spending and cash flows, monitor budget variance, and track/analyze costs.

• Provide analysis and verification for SOX activities.

• Track, analyze, and submit information for un-vouchered liabilities (UVLs) and develop invoice data for billable work orders.

• Create contract requisitions and assist in preparing Request for Proposal and Scope of Work.

• Prepare bid evaluations, assist in bid analysis, and awarding of contracts.

• Communicate with Supply Chain and work with Contractors on various items such as UVLs, invoices, contracts, proposals, and Affidavit of Completion (AOC).

• Coordinate work order process reports, place work orders in service, prepare journal entry reclassifications, and complete Major Plant in Service report.

Essential Skills

• Proficiency in telecommunications, project coordination, and construction.

• Experience with project budgets, Excel databases, and Excel pivot tables.

• Three years of experience in project budgets, projections, and cost tracking/analysis.

• Three years of experience with accounting principles (debits and credits).

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office projects and experience with financial costing software.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Associate's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Accounting, or Business.

Work Environment

The work environment is an engineering office that is quiet and promotes a laid-back atmosphere. Engineers will share an office with another engineer, and the dress code is business casual. Teamwork is highly encouraged and frequently occurs.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $35.00/hr.
