Raw Materials Planner

As the Raw Materials Planner , you will be responsible for procurement, receipt, management of raw materials, and packaging supplies. Various department supplies are necessary to support the Barberton plant's 24-hour Teslin® production operation to manufacture Teslin® products, with some Silica materials procurement and management activities.

You will work onsite at Barberton, OH- Norton Plant and will report to the Supply Chain Manager. PPG offers excellent Medical, Dental, & Vision Benefits; matching 401k + retirement savings; and Paid Vacation, Holiday pay.

Responsibilities:

• SAP data entry
• Teslin raw material inventory management and procurement
• Packaging supply inventory management and procurement
• Teslin packaging supply purchasing
• Teslin railcar management and coordination with local railroads
• Management and coordination of trucking for raw materials, packaging supplies, and other Department supplies
• Weekly daily / weekly production updates
• Monthly Raw Material Closing
• Coordination of Hazardous and Non-Hazardous Waste shipments for the department
• Teslin empty container management
• Develop and update SOP's related to the performance of procurement and management of raw materials and packaging supplies for the department.

Additional duties to support safety and operation of the department can include:

• Support Barberton EHSLT Committee and Subcommittees as requested
• Support HOP process through interactions and Pre-Task Briefs

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED required, bachelor's degree preferred
• 1 – 3 years of professional experience in an inventory, buying, or supply chain role
