Non-Negotiable Skills

• Should have in-depth knowledge of Testing techniques and standards.
• Should have min 5 years of experience working as a Testing lead in a large-scale project with multiple-year releases.
• Should have a good understanding and working skills in API service and Batch ETL jobs testing.
• Should have experience in working with a team structure in an on-site offshore model.
• Should have experience/exposure to working with API and Batch automation tools.
• Should have work experience in detail status reporting and leading the Defect management calls.
• Should have experience with Agile
• Experience with Jira
• Nice to have working experience in UI testing and automation.
• Nice to have working experience in Collection and Recovery applications.

ABOUT THE JOB
The Senior Quality Lead coordinates all of the planning, execution, and recap functions involved in testing and injecting quality safeguards into the development and deployment of software applications. This individual leads other QA professionals and fosters collaboration and cooperation with the greater project team in the pursuit of delivering a high-quality product.



ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

• Leads the QA team for a large transformational project and may lead multiple quality leads, and is responsible for all activities conducted to ensure quality.
• Oversees the quality in all phases of the project, including Requirement review, test script preparation, and test execution and recap.
• Identifies gaps and confusions in the user interface and/or the workflow, etc, and highlights to the project team the risks associated with technical debt, schedule slippage, or other areas of concern.
• Schedules resources, estimates QAS portion of project estimates and forecasts, manages testing needs with Shared Services, manages the PLC tollgates, calculates and manages traceability and test coverage, assists with test result triage, reports on overall application/project health, and intercedes, when appropriate, with remediation efforts.
• Creates a collaborative partnership with the Tech Lead, the PM, the BAs, and other project participants and actively engages in grooming sessions, status meetings, and other project meetings. Highly valued as a thought leader contributing to the final product.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Education/Certifications:

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience required.

Experience:

• Three plus years of experience in quality assurance with keen organizational skills, an ability to both delegate, lead, and "dig in" with extensive knowledge of quality assurance practices and methods.
• Understands the test automation coverage and guides exploratory testers to fill the gaps.
• Intimate understanding of an application domain, the release schedule and the user community, and can work with the other members of the project team to drive delivery.
• Understands how to assess an application's functionality by risk, impact, and importance to prioritize the test execution and concentrate test coverage appropriately.
• Domain knowledge or the ability to quickly understand the core functionality and the client experience of an application.

• Command of the types and number of resources needed for each effort and the ability to maximize their assignments to generate the greatest impact.
• A process optimizer - - sees the opportunities for automation, can spot tasks and tests that do not add value, and can eliminate waste to optimize the resources at hand.
• Expertise in exploratory testing and guiding others in exploratory test paths to maximize coverage.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Able to lead in all phases of the project and can communicate with others in the organization about the status and risks of the effort in detail.
• Solid analytical skills to assess and report on quality metrics, app health, and project
