Aircraft Performance & Economics Lead Engineer
- Define and manage analysis requirements: Help establish internal/external requirements for mission, route, and economic assessments; clarify scope, assumptions, and inputs/outputs with stakeholders.
- Execute mission and value studies: Run mission analyses (fuel burn, payload, range) and economic value assessments for current and future aircraft models to support design and business decisions.
- Perform trade studies and recommend options: Create and compare alternate aircraft/engine concepts and document trade-offs and recommendations with guidance from technical leaders.
- Support campaigns and customer discussions: Contribute to marketing and sales efforts through route analysis, derate assessments, and value-sell technical substantiation; participate in customer/airframer exchanges as needed.
- Communicate results and integrate across teams: Provide clear summaries, datasets, and conclusions to engineering, product line, marketing, sales, and leadership; ensure work products integrate with program needs.
- Improve tools and standard processes: Drive efficiency, capability, and fidelity improvements in analysis workflows and standard processes, consistent with continuous improvement expectations.
- Bachelor of Science in Aeronautical/Aerospace Engineering or a related engineering discipline from an accredited university or college
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in aerospace engineering

- Strong communication (oral/written), problem analysis, and ability to document, plan, and execute work.
- Passion for airplanes and the airline business and economics, with interest in turning performance questions into clear, data-backed insights.
- Ability to work cross-functionally; may provide informal guidance to junior team members.
