Job Overview

The UC Clermont Learning Commons Program Coordinator will plan, design, deliver, evaluate, modify, and coordinate academic support services for UC Clermont students. Under the supervision of the Associate Director, the program coordinator will coordinate and manage learning support for students in both on‑campus and online courses, ensuring equitable, high‑quality services that meet diverse learner needs. This role will need an individual to be occasionally available during evenings and weekends.

To perform this job successfully, the candidate should be fluent in email and text communication and have experience with Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and web conferencing software like Teams and Zoom.

Essential Functions

  • Plan and coordinate on-campus and virtual tutoring support to students from a variety of backgrounds and levels of preparation.
  • Manage the tutoring scheduling system: ensure events are up to date, sessions are logged accurately, and day to day administration.
  • Communicate with tutors about session scheduling, substitutes, cancellations, topics, and others.
  • Tutor students in math and/or science.
  • Recruit and hire tutors as needed.
  • Collaborate with co-workers on training tutors and front desk workers as needed.
  • Ensure flyers and signage are up to date and posted regularly.
  • Design, create and conduct subject and non-subject specific workshops.
  • Monitor weekly usage, identify problems and solutions, and develop clear goals and action steps for program enhancement.
  • Plan, create, and implement marketing strategies to increase tutoring usage.
  • Develop, administer, and analyze evaluation surveys.
  • Educate, collaborate, liaise, and perform outreach about UC Clermont Learning Commons services to students, faculty, staff and other college stakeholders.
  • Make presentations about UC Clermont Learning Commons services and participate in campus events such as Fall Fest, Open House, Orientation, etc.
  • As departmental needs change, this position may be assigned to assist with new projects.

Required Education

Bachelor's degree with coursework in math up to calculus, statistics, chemistry, and biology.

Required Experience

One (1) year of program coordination or program management experience.
