Supervisor

Position Summary

The Production Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily production operations and supervising production staff to ensure safety, quality, and efficiency standards are met. This role coordinates work schedules, monitors productivity, and supports continuous improvement initiatives within the manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will be able to effectively communicate with a diverse workforce and must be fluent in English and Creole .

Responsibilities

• Supervise the activities of Group Leaders and Production Associates.
• Coordinate with Production Management and Production Control to establish work schedules and ensure completion of production goals.
• Ensure equipment and tools are properly maintained to support efficient production operations.
• Promote efficient use of materials, improve production methods, and reduce waste.
• Cross-train Group Leaders and production staff as needed.
• Oversee the use and updating of standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Support scrap reduction and cost improvement initiatives.
• Conduct employee training on equipment operation, safety procedures, and job tasks, or assign training to experienced team members.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of equipment and work areas.
• Monitor employee attendance and hours worked.
• Participate in performance management activities including evaluations, recommendations for wage increases, and corrective actions when necessary.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, regulatory requirements, and customer expectations.
• Follow established policies, procedures, and work instructions as directed by management.

Education

• High School Diploma or GED required.

Experience

• Previous leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment is helpful but not required.

Skills

• Bilingual: English and Creole required.
• Strong organizational and documentation skills.
• Effective interpersonal and communication abilities.
• Proficiency with Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

Additional Requirements

• Must be able to work any assigned shift.
• Must be able to work overtime as required.

Work Environment

This position operates primarily in a manufacturing environment where employees may be exposed to moving mechanical parts, vibration, and loud noise levels.
