Location: Bon Secours Mercy Health- West Hospital Outpatient Surgery Center in Cincinnati, OH

Mercy Health — West Hospital Outpatient Surgery Center in Cincinnati is part of the Bon Secours Mercy Health (BSMH) network—a merged Catholic health system headquartered in Cincinnati and one of the 20 largest health systems in the U.S. Westgate Surgery Center .

Through a strategic alliance with Compass Surgical Partners announced in May 2023, BSMH is expanding its ambulatory surgery center (ASC) footprint, with plans for more than 30 new centers over 2023 and beyond.

Role Summary:
The Director of Nursing (DON) oversees all nursing services and clinical operations, ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality care. This full-time, exempt leadership role supervises a dynamic clinical team and manages patient care for outpatient surgeries, including GI and ophthalmology procedures across 2 operating rooms, and 4 procedure rooms.

Hours:
Full-time, Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–3:00 PM (hours may vary based on center needs).

What You’ll do:

• Lead and manage nursing and clinical teams.
• Maintain high standards of patient care, safety, and infection control.
• Ensure regulatory and accreditation compliance.
• Oversee staffing, scheduling, and supply management.
• Collaborate with physicians and administration to support center goals.
• Serve as administrative leader in the Administrator’s absence.

What You’ll bring:

• Active RN license with BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 2+ years of nursing leadership, preferably in outpatient surgery.
• Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
