Responsibilities

• Provide coaching and mentorship to youth participants, supporting their engagement in summer employment programs
• Assist youth in developing job skills, including interviewing techniques, workplace etiquette, and task management
• Conduct training sessions on workplace behavior, social skills, and disability awareness to ensure inclusive environments
• Monitor participant progress, provide constructive feedback, and celebrate achievements to motivate continued growth
• Maintain accurate records of participant attendance, progress reports, and program activities
• Support participants with special needs by applying knowledge of developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorder, and addiction counseling strategies
• A possibility of transporting youth to the work site

Qualifications

• Demonstrated understanding of employment & labor law relevant to youth employment programs
• Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or autism is highly desirable
• Strong background in teaching, mentoring, and social work principles
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to motivate diverse audiences
• Passionate about empowering youth through education, skill-building, and supportive coaching

Dates: Session 1 June 8th – Aug 14th and a one-day training before June 9th dates to TBA

Hours: 24 to 30 hours a week

Monday through Friday with Fridays being a day to write reports at home.

Must be able to pass a background check
