- Healthcare Setting: Oncology Med/Surg Telemetry Unit (Gynecology and Urology focus)
- Job Type: Travel Registered Nurse (RN)
- Start Date: October 20, 2025
- End Date: January 19, 2026
- Contract Length: 13 weeks
- Shift: Night shifts, 3x12-hour (19:00 – 07:30)
- Hours per Week: 36
- Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $1940-$1990
- Self-Scheduling: Requests accommodated to balance preferences and unit needs
- Orientation: 1 week dayshift, then 36 hours on-unit with preceptor
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (compact or Ohio state) – required for Ohio healthcare jobs
- Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Surg Telemetry nursing experience
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Graduate of an ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program
- Proficiency with EPIC electronic health record system
- Oncology nursing experience (chemotherapy administration, brachytherapy preferred)
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Preferred: Oncology Nursing Society (ONS) Chemotherapy certification
- Two professional references required (one from a manager/director or charge RN)
- Provide direct patient care to adult and geriatric oncology patients, supporting physical and emotional well-being
- Administer chemotherapy and monitor for adverse reactions
- Participate in clinical trials and assist with data collection and documentation
- Perform specialized oncology procedures (brachytherapy, neobladder care, feeding tube management, IV therapy, blood product administration, central line maintenance)
- Implement infection prevention protocols and patient falls management strategies
- Monitor telemetry readings, interpret/manage dysrhythmias, and respond to changes in patient condition
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams (PT, respiratory, radiology, pharmacy, social services, rapid response)
- Float to other Med/Surg Oncology units as needed
- Utilize EPIC for accurate documentation of assessments, interventions, and patient outcomes
