Full Time Police Officer

The Roaming Shores Police Department is currently accepting applications for the positions of:

Full-Time Police Officer :

• Full-time starting salary of $26.63

Part-Time Police Officer

• Part-time salary of $25.00 per hour upon completion of field training.

The Village of Roaming Shores is currently offering the following hiring bonuses:

$5,000 HIRING BONUS for new full-time hires with less than two years full-time experience.

$10,000 HIRING BONUS for new full-time hires, lateral transfer with more than two years of full-time experience.

Police Officer Minimum Qualifications

• Must possess a valid Ohio Driver’s License.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• United States Citizen.
• Criminal record free of felony convictions or other crimes of aggression, violence or moral turpitude.
• An acceptable driving record that qualifies the candidate to be insurable and to remain insurable under the village’s vehicle insurance policy.
• Basic Ohio Police Office Training Academy with current OPOTA certification required at time of appointment.
• Favorable employment history.

Preference will be given to officers who have prior experience, instructor certifications, FTO and LEADS TAC or ATAC certification.
