Job Title: Procurement ConsultantJob Description
As a Procurement Consultant, you will be responsible for procuring goods and services with high value or complex requirements. You will assess business needs and align procurement plans accordingly, executing sourcing strategies based on guidance from category managers and leading practices.
Responsibilities
+ Assess business requirements and develop procurement plans.
+ Execute sourcing strategies in accordance with category manager guidance.
+ Assist Category Managers with strategy development.
+ Leverage supplier and spend analyses to inform category strategies.
+ Coordinate and lead cross-functional teams during sourcing events.
+ Perform contract administration work related to sourcing events.
+ Develop and lead negotiation strategies.
+ Draft summaries and details for contracts including terms and conditions.
+ Establish effective relationships with business partners and suppliers.
+ Ensure alignment with category strategies in transactional and support services.
+ Coordinate with suppliers on delivery, transportation, and storage requirements.
+ Manage contract compliance and administration, including economic adjustments.
+ Mitigate risks and maximize contract value through contract knowledge.
Essential Skills
+ Proficiency in procurement and contract negotiation.
+ Experience in supplier performance management.
+ Bachelor's Degree in business, accounting, finance, supply chain, or related field, or 6 years of relevant work experience.
+ 5 years of relevant work experience, including work with cross-functional teams.
+ Experience in supply chain category management, preferably in utility, manufacturing, or construction industries.

+ Ability to manage multiple projects and initiatives simultaneously.
+ Strong written and verbal communication skills.
+ Experience in developing and evolving category management processes.
+ Ability to engage suppliers on operational, strategic, and financial issues.
Work Environment
This is an onsite position at our corporate headquarters, requiring presence 5 days a week, Monday through Friday, from 8 AM to 5 PM. The office provides free parking in the downtown area. The role offers a long-term opportunity with potential to transition to a direct position. During the contract duration, paid time off and holiday pay are provided.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $45.00/hr.
