MACHINE PLANT ELECTRICIAN
Chardon, OH
Considerable salary to commensurate with experience
Key Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, panels, motors, and industrial equipment.
- Troubleshoot electrical issues on production machinery, automation systems, and facility infrastructure.
- Perform preventive maintenance on electrical systems to reduce machine downtime.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals.
- Install and maintain PLCs, sensors, relays, VFDs, and control systems.
- Ensure compliance with NEC, OSHA, and company safety standards.
- Assist in machine upgrades, system improvements, and new equipment installations.
- Document maintenance activities, repairs, and system changes.
- Collaborate with maintenance, engineering, and production teams to resolve issues quickly.
Preferred Qualifications
- Journeyman Electrician license or equivalent experience preferred.
- 3+ years of industrial or manufacturing electrical experience.
- Strong knowledge of 480V three‑phase systems, controls, and motors.
- Experience working with PLCs (Allen‑Bradley, Siemens, etc.) is a strong plus.
- Ability to diagnose electrical issues using multimeters, scopes, and diagnostic tools.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs. and work in industrial plant conditions.
- Strong problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with robotics, automation, or CNC machinery.
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing and continuous improvement.
- Mechanical aptitude to assist with electromechanical repairs.
