Pharmacy Technician (Chemo Compounding) – Private Hematology/Oncology Practice

Tri County Hematology & Oncology Associates is a busy, patient-centered private practice seeking an experienced Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) with sterile compounding experience , ideally including hazardous drug (chemo) preparation , to support our infusion services.

What you’ll do

• Prepare and compound sterile IV medications, including hazardous drugs/chemotherapy , in compliance with applicable standards and internal procedures
• Perform compounding calculations, verify ingredients/quantities, and ensure accurate labeling and documentation
• Maintain cleanroom/compounding area readiness: daily cleaning logs, temperature monitoring, beyond-use dating support, and supply organization
• Manage medication inventory, ordering, receiving, and proper storage (including cold chain, hazardous storage, and segregation)
• Coordinate closely with nursing and providers to support safe, timely infusion delivery
• Follow all safety requirements for PPE, closed-system transfer devices (as applicable), and spill/exposure procedures
• Support audits/inspections and help maintain compliance documentation (training files, logs, competencies)

What we’re looking for

• Current CPhT certification
• Sterile compounding experience required ; hazardous/chemo compounding strongly preferred
• Strong attention to detail, labeling accuracy, and comfort working with time-sensitive infusion schedules
• Familiarity with compounding documentation, inventory controls, and medication safety practices
• Reliable, team-oriented, professional communication with clinical staff and patients

Bonus if you have

• Experience in oncology infusion.
