Behavior Specialist - School

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Behavior Specialist in Dayton, OH. The ideal candidate will support individuals with behavioral challenges by creating and implementing behavior intervention plans, working closely with clients, families, and support staff to improve quality of life.

School Behavior Specialist in Ohio

Contract through the 25/26 school year – Part Time (24 hours per week).

Contract follows the academic district calendar.

Pay:

• $1,248 - $1,320 per week.

Behavior Specialist Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct behavioral assessments.
• Develop and implement individualized behavior plans.
• Monitor progress and adjust plans as needed.
• Train and support staff and families.
• Maintain documentation and reports.

Behavior Specialist Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, Education, or related field (Master’s preferred).
• Must be a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC or LPCC-S), or Licensed Independent Social Worker (LISW or LISW-S).
• Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or behavioral needs.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Must have the ability to stand or sit for extended periods of time; see and read a computer screen and printed material with or without vision aids; hear and understand speech at normal levels and on the telephone; speak in audible tones so that others may understand clearly in person and on the telephone; and the ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions; May include frequent walking, standing, stooping, lifting up to approximately 25 pounds and occasional lifting of equipment and/or materials weighing up to approximately 40 pounds may be required.
