Supply Chain Engineering Director

JOB SUMMARY:

Lead, direct and coordinate activities of Supply Chain Engineering to construct/maintain facilities and equipment, develop processes/equipment/components for new products, develop/implement process automation, implement the latest process technology to reduce costs and improve quality. Lead a team of Engineering Managers and Engineers in the development and execution of projects and tasks.

ESSENTIAL/PRIMARY DUTIES:

• Coach and direct teams in the spirit of the Midmark Production System to support all Midmark operations across all sites to deliver the Midmark Supply Chain Aspirations.
• Effectively manage project scope, budgets and schedules to exceed commitments.
• Provide leadership and direction for Engineering Managers in the execution of projects and deliverables effectively and with improvements continually to cost, quality, and lead time.
• Resolve problems using solutions that involve new techniques, technologies and concepts.
• Analyze technology trends, human resource needs and capacity constraints to plan improvements and projects for the Midmark Supply Chain.
• Forecast operating costs of department and direct preparation of budget requests.
• Maintain a working knowledge of new technologies, safety policies and regulations.

SECONDARY DUTIES:

• Align with Operations, Quality and Engineering partners to support their mission.
• Ensure project execution meets the required regulatory and organizational requirements.
• Attain increases in effectiveness and efficiency through collaboration, alignment and continuous improvement with the functional organizations at Midmark.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

Bachelor's degree in engineering is required. Minimum five years of manufacturing leadership-related experience preferred. Minimum of two years of Plant Manager experience is preferred. Previous experience in facility maintenance/construction, manufacturing development, large-scale project management, sustaining engineering and technology development is desired.

COMPETENCY and/or SKILL:

• Project management mastery skills (PMP Certification preferred)
• Problem-solving skills (Green Belt/Black Belt Certification preferred)
• Overall Supply Chain Strategy (Certified Supply Chain Professional preferred)
• Demonstrated proficiency in the Midmark Product System
